"The King in the Shadow of the Minister" — the story of an ordinary woman who wrote the path to victory with her own tears.

Part 01

Just as Farhana Moni faced a formidable question during an interview with a renowned Group of Companies. Despite lagging behind in the race of experience and credentials, her unwavering inner confidence and the indomitable courage to confront life's harsh realities set her apart from the rest. Let us delve into her inspiring story:

The King in the Minister's Shadow

An interview was underway at a prominent multinational company.

The company's MD and other board members were seated in a glass-enclosed office chamber.

Everyone present held higher degrees and boasted job experience—yet one possessed the invaluable credentials of courage, patience, and confidence, honed in the school of life. Her name was Farhana Moni Also, She has used an Islamic dress (Burkha) to protect her from others.

The interviewer's question echoed:

— "What is your salary expectation?"

Moni replied in a fearless tone,

👉 "At least $ 1,200 ."

A soft murmur rippled through the room—a newcomer, an inexperienced woman making such a bold claim! Yet, her eyes held a steadfast resolve, and her lips bore the clear imprint of self-assurance.

The MD remarked,

"Look, you lack experience. On what basis are you making this demand? What makes you unique from others?"

👉 Moni responded,

"I possess the experience of repeatedly winning the battles of life. In situations where others falter, I have learned to make the right decisions. I have the experience of winning the battle of life.
Where others collapse, I stand there.

I know how to navigate problems with honesty, courage, and stability. Importantly more, Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala states in the Holy Quran: "And do not weaken and do not grieve, and you will be superior if you are [true] believers. (Surah Al-Imran, 3:139).

That's why,  Allah is always with us I think. I do not consider problems as problems—I think,
'What is Allah trying to teach me?"

Her response stirred the interview panel. The MD then inquired:

"Well said. Now, let's test your intellect. Are you interested in any games?"

— "I love playing chess."

— "Which chess piece is your favorite?"

— "The Minister (Queen). 🌟"

The MD commented, "Why? I find the Knight's move to be the most unique."

Moni paused briefly and replied, "Yes, the Knight's movement is intriguing, but the Minister embodies all qualities. It can advance forward, move diagonally, and when needed, stand as the King's shield."

A glimmer of victory sparkled in Moni's eyes.

The MD then asked, "So, how do you perceive the King?"

The woman answered, "In chess, I consider the King to be the weakest. To protect itself, it can only move one square, while the Minister stands beside the King, safeguarding it from all directions."

The MD, impressed by Moni's answer, inquired further, "Then, which chess piece would you compare yourself to?"

Without hesitation, the woman declared, "The King.👑 "

The MD, somewhat surprised, asked, "But you consider the King weak. Why then do you call yourself the King?"

Moni smiled softly and explained,

— "Because in reality, I was the King, and my husband was my Minister. He used to protect me, give me courage, and support me in every way. But today, he is no more..."

Her voice faltered, and tears welled up in her eyes. "Now, for my children, I must become the Minister, and I myself must stand strong, like a King."

A profound silence descended upon the room. In an instant, everyone's eyes reflected empathy. Then, the MD stood up and announced,

— "You are a brave woman. You will be the inspiration of this institution. We welcome you."

🌸 But this is not the end; rather, it is the dawn of a new beginning…
